Nineties anthemists (that's our new word, we invented it specially!) and surprisingly good revivalers (that's ours to, but we don´t like it as much) James have announced a winter tour scheduled, unsurprisingly, at the end of the year. According to their press release the band plan to make a bit of a party of it, with a carousel of old, new and future tracks (how they do that weŕe not sure), plenty of sitting down and standing up and quite possibly a once round the Macarena for old times sake.
Naaah, it's my turn to wash the cat we here you mutter. Well hold on there Mighty Whites, the once crap and now pretty good Athlete are supporting all gigs, making it well worth the trip in our book (dusty, dog eared, old A-Level copy of Tess of the D´Urbervilles though it is).
Shouty grumpy cross and often miffed distortion junkies Blood Red Shoes are giving away 4 free live tracks from their Hamburg show last year, and all you have to do is hand over 6 of your mates.
The 4 live tracks are ADHD, It's Getting Boring by the Sea, Try Harder and firm MuHead favourite I Wish I Was Someone Better, all taken from this years Box of Secrets album. To get your hands on them go here , tap in your email address, a few mates, your gran, the local doctor, school bursar (you get the idea) and hey presto! True indie fans with no friends at all who don't speak to their family feel free to use our suggestions;
