Ringo Starr’s new studio album, Liverpool 8, his first new album with Capitol/EMI since 1974's Goodnight Vienna, will be released not only on CD and online, but also as a USB wristband.

Liverpool 8 , released on January 15, will be available as a pre-loaded USB wristband including the entire album, a personal video message, interview and track commentary from Ringo Starr, behind-the-scenes making-of footage from the recording sessions, ringtunes, photos and more.

Radiohead Quit EMI Over Back Catalogue

Radiohead walked away from a new deal with EMI due to a dispute over “moral rights” to the band’s back catalogue, according to a newspaper report today.

Radiohead co-manager Bryce Edge told The Times that talks over renewing the band’s contract with the major label couldn’t advance because EMI owner Guy Hands “refused to discuss the catalogue in a meaningful way”.
