Radiohead walked away from a new deal with
EMI due to a dispute over “moral rights” to the band’s back catalogue,
according to a newspaper report today.
Radiohead co-manager
Bryce Edge told The Times that talks over renewing the band’s contract
with the major label couldn’t advance because EMI owner Guy Hands “refused to
discuss the catalogue in a meaningful way”.
An obvious choice I know, But added the whole of the Sex Pistols Never Mind the Bollocks to the punk and new wave album.
Can't believe it was recorded 30 years ago! and still sounding completely unrivalled.
Escaping the obvious tracks like God Save The Queen and Anarchy In The UK (which are great but played to death), Seventeen... EMI and the mighty Holidays In The Sun still sound fresh and awesome.
An angry, fucked up, nihilistic british masterpiece!
