Andy Burrows, you may know him as the drummer from Razorlight, releases a solo album, The Colour of My Dreams, on May 26. The album will be released to raise awareness and funds for the Jack's Place Appeal at Naomi House.
The Colour Of My Dreams was reportedly written and recorded at home by Andy during recent time out from Razorlight duties, after discovering a book of poems by an old family friend. Using just Garageband Andy began setting the poems to music, producing a lo-fi mix of childs-eye view poems and simple acoustic guitar.
On first few listens of pre-release snippets and samples we think there's a distinct Crowded House vibe to the tracks, with a little Simon and Garfunkle cutesyness thrown in.
Andy is also be playing a one off gig to support the release of the album at Union Chapel (London) on 28th May with special guests and support from Lucy Rose. Tickets will go on sale 9am Thursday 16th April at seetickets.com.
