Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney have finally dared to venture from the basement which spawned the clanking, rustic sounds of their first four albums – and found the most natural collaborator to complement the Ohio pair’s rudimentary appeal.

Danger Mouse’s treatment of their fifth album, Attack And Release, is blissfully timeless, none more so than on this second single, a tripped-out blast of psychedelia that does more than pay homage to the 60s – it grasps the analogous grassroots essence of rock’s finest decade and drags it, in delirious hippy-esque style, into the 21st century.
